Blood Pressure Ups and Downs - Sorting It Out

photoA Guessing Game
Figuring out blood pressure ups and downs can be confusing.
We try one thing, then another, not sure what the results will be. We take prescription medications, dieting, eat healthy foods, take herbs, exercise, try fish oil, and many other things, hoping to improve our health and have a normal reading.
What helps one person, though, may not help another. We are all different and that's where it becomes a guessing game.

Not To Be Ignored
High Blood Pressure, also called Hypertension, can be effected by a number of things.  There is no way to know exactly what has caused someone to have high blood pressure.   The important thing is to know if you have hypertension and to do what you can to improve it. We don't want to ignore it. It's serious business.

Me?
Well, once I accepted the fact that I had a blood pressure problem, I had to deal with it. I have tried to figure out what works.
I practice weight control, eat right, make myself exercise, get enough sleep, minimize stress, practice relaxation, avoid salt (sometimes), and try to practice other healthy habits.
I monitor my weight, my blood pressure, and my food intake.

I Hate Taking Pills
I did not want to take  blood pressure pills at the beginning, but, there are some very serious reasons to take medication and to take it as prescribed. I'll talk about that later.

Helping Each Other Make It Through
Since I have some personal experience with high blood pressure I thought I'd do a blog about it.  Maybe I will answer a question and inspire someone to make a healthy change to improve a blood pressure.
Do always check with your health care provider before making health changes.
